The Blind Truth About Aging Whisky

"Age before beauty," "with age comes wisdom"...these are only a few examples, but they prove a point: we frequently associate "older" with "better." This is especially true when it comes to whisky. We champion bottles containing decades-old liquid, claiming its contents--almost by default--far surpass two or three year old whisky. Well, the Diageo Whisky team, composed of some of the brand's most well-regarded members, has something to say about that. As well as teaching the history and manufacturing process of whisky and exploring the multiple flavor variations of the single malt, the team distributes blind tastings to the audience to test the theory that older whiskys always tastes better. Will the older whiskys live up to their reputation? The truth may come as a surprise.
