Tales of the Cocktail 2019

This summer the worldwide cocktail community will descend on New Orleans once again as Tales of the Cocktail returns for its 17th year. This annual gathering that’s equal parts cocktail conference and family reunion will feature a spirited schedule of brand new seminars, tastings, competitions and networking events representing the latest our industry has to offer. We’ll also have special events planned to honor the tricentennial of our hometown being celebrated this year. Important Dates & Deadlines

  • Monday, January 7: Sponsorship Sales Begin
  • Thursday, April 4: Tickets on sale to General Public
  • Wednesday, May 1: Deadline to submit final spirit order to the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation

Seminar Sponsorship

  • Tales of the Cocktail will purchase all spirits products needed for these events. Suppliers will need to let Tales of the Cocktail know their Louisiana distributor. All spirits used at these events must be available through a Louisiana distributor.
  • Exclusive Tasting Seminars- Tales of the Cocktail will invoice the event sponsor an additional sponsorship fee amounting for the dollar amount of the purchased product, inclusive of tax.

    *Includes final title, description, panelists & cocktail or tastings
  • Tuesday, May 7: Seminar recipes/tastings due
  • Wednesday, June 26: Deadline to receive Promotional Items at the Tales office for seminars

Important Links

Tasting Room Sponsorship

  • Suppliers are not allowed to self-supply any spirits product for “Tasting Room” events on the Tales of the Cocktail schedule.
  • To ensure full compliance with the Louisiana Office of ATC’s Special Event laws and regulations, the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation must purchase all product used at “For Purchase” Ticketed Events and Tasting Rooms. All receipts and/or permits will be on premises in case of inspection.
  • Spirits product orders must be sent to Tales of the Cocktail on or before Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
  • The Tales of the Cocktail Foundation will coordinate liquor delivery/pickup to your event and storage directly with your host hotel.
  • Only attendees with a valid, Tasting Room Access Wristband can legally be served.
  • Please have any hired bartenders working your event bring their Safe Serve card or the equivalent from their home city.

  • Wednesday, May 1: Final Event Information Due
    *Includes title, description, date, time & locations (to be included on the schedule when tickets go on sale)
  • Wednesday, May 1: Deadline to submit complete/final spirit order (all alcohol being poured/used) to the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation

Important Links

Tales Dining and Drinking Sponsorship

  • The host restaurant must purchase product directly from the distributor and the costs will be covered in the price of the meal. Spirits cannot be donated to the restaurant or venue.

  • Friday, May 31: Deadline to submit all Dining and Drinking event information
    *Includes title, description, menus and personalities
  • Monday, June 3: Spirited Dinner® Reservations Live & Dynamic Duo pages launched

Happy Hour Sponsorship (TO BE UPDATED)

  • Tales of the Cocktail will purchase all spirits products needed for these events. Suppliers will need to let Tales of the Cocktail know their Louisiana distributor. All spirits used at these events must be available through a Louisiana distributor.
  • Tales of the Cocktail will invoice the event sponsor an additional amount for the dollar amount of the purchased product, inclusive of tax. Sponsorship dollars and product donation will be a tax free donation to the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. Donations and sponsorships are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

  • Wednesday, June 26: Deadline to receive Promotional Items at the Tales office for the Happy Hour
