Pistachio Flip cocktail

When we spotted this recipe from Seattle-based OOLA Distillery on Instagram, we knew we had to try it for ourselves. The nutty sweetness of pistachios makes for a perfect addition to a creamy whole-egg flip, and blending whole pistachios with simple syrup is a quick "pistachio milk" shortcut.


  • 112 ounce OOLA Gin
  • 12 ounce maraschino liqueur
  • 12 ounce pistachio milk (recipe below)
  • 1 dash Scrappy's Cardamom Bitters
  • 1 whole egg


Dry shake all of the ingredients for 20 seconds until everything is blended well. Add ice and continue to shake until the outside of the shaker is cold. Strain into a coupe glass. Enjoy! ⠀

To make pistachio milk:

  • 1 cup whole unshelled pistachios ⠀
  • 1 cup simple syrup (1:1)
Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Blend well. Strain through cheesecloth to remove particles.
