The Livorno Fizz
“Concentrated liqueurs like Galliano, when diluted and opened up with other spirits or mixers, can accent and illuminate and lift all the subtle flavors that already exist in the other ingredients," says Jeremy Allen of Minibar. "In the case of the Livorno Fizz, Galliano grabs the tart cranberry and the earthy yet fruitful prosecco, and makes them sing together, while the bubbles lift the high notes to the palate. Bubbles can lighten the liqueur and in turn lighten the mood. It’s a great way to celebrate the day away.”
- 3⁄4 ounce Galliano L'Autentico
- 1 ounce cranberry juice
- 1⁄2 ounce brut rosé (Minibar uses Valdo Rosé Brut Vino Spumante)
- 1 dash Peychaud's Bitters
Add the Galliano and cranberry juice to a shaker and shake with ice until chilled. Add a dash of Peychaud’s into a chilled coupe. Strain the Galliano and cranberry mixture into the prepared coupe, then top it all off with prosecco. Garnish with a lemon twist.
