Grandma's Honey Apples and Oats created by Matthew Scarbrough of Blackbird Cantina for our Barenjager Holiday Cocktail Competition. Here's what he had to say: "As a kid my grandma used to make honey dipped apples and granola/oats as treats during the holidays for all of my family. This cocktail reminds me of those treats."

Ingredients

  • 1.25 ounces Barenjager Honey & Bourbon
  • .5 ounce Bigallet China - China Amer
  • .5 ounce Banane Du Bresil
  • .5 ounce lemon juice
  • 2 slices green apple (for muddling)
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 piece Honey and Granola Oats
  • 1 piece green apple fan garnish

Directions

  • Pour 1/2oz lemon juice into mixing glass
  • Muddle 1/4 green apple
  • Add 1oz and 1/4oz Barenjager Honey & Bourbon
  • Add 1/2oz China-china
  • Add 1/2oz Banane Du Bresil
  • Add 1 egg white
  • Dry Shake all ingredients
  • Add ice and shake all ingredients
  • Pour into coupe cocktail glass
  • Sprinkle crushed honey and granola over half the cocktail
  • Garnish with sliced apple fan
