Buchu & Marmalade Margarita

Kurt Schlechter of Cape Town, South Africa, elaborates on the regional ingredients featured in his cocktail:

"Made with a local 'fynbos' plant indigenous to the western cape region, 'buchu' has been used for over 1000 years for its medicinal properties. It has been used to make buchu brandy in the western cape for over 200 years. The Buchu Brandy Marmalade is a homemade recipe using the famous 'Washington' Oranges from the Cedarberg mountains and a local buchu infused potstill brandy from Chenin Blanc grapes."
