The Sweat Social LLC, Novo Fogo and Friends of the Cabildo are teaming up with Tales of the Cocktail for the Sweat Local program, providing free workouts for festival attendees.

Tales of the Cocktail is proud to announce its exclusive partnership with The Sweat Social, Novo Fogo, and Friends of the Cabildo to offer complimentary fitness classes and activities during Tales 2016. Trainers from The Sweat Social, a New Orleans-based company that offers fitness classes for travelers, will lead morning workouts, scenic guided running tours and yoga classes, all free of charge for Tales wristband holders. These unique experiences were custom designed to not only offer opportunities to workout but also to allow attendees to see New Orleans in new ways.

“It can be tough squeezing in a workout when you’re on the road, ” said Dragos Axinte CEO of Novo Fogo. “ It’s even tougher when you’re at a cocktail conference. This program is a great way to get people feeling ready to attack another day of Tales seminars and events.”

The Sweat Local program was created to give everyone options on how they want to workout. The guided NOLA Running Tour will start every morning at 8 am in front of the Hotel Monteleone. From there the group will set off for a comfortable run, stopping at different historic New Orleans sites along the way. Sweat is an interval training class including elements of boxing, cardio, and strength training that Tales attendees can join along the Mississippi River at Woldenberg Riverfront Park. Tone will challenge attendees with elements of of yoga, Pilates and core training. And finally, Sweat Local will offer yoga classes on Tuesday and Thursday morning in front of the city’s most legendary buildings: The Cabildo. All Sweat Local classes vary from 30-minute to hour-long sessions and are designed to suit all skill levels.

“We have had health initiatives at Tales before but this is by far the most comprehensive program we’ve been able to offer our cocktail friends from around the world ,” said Ann Tuennerman, Founder of Tales of the Cocktail. “We’re in a business that can be hard on your body. That’s why we’ve been working for the past several years to find different ways to help bartenders and other spirits professionals focus on their health.”
