Vermouth Week: We're So Close, We Can Taste It
On Monday, November 7, Tales of the Cocktail will kick off our first-ever Vermouth Week, an online celebration of all things vermouth: its past, its future, and the many ways in which it’s being revitalized and reimagined at bars around the world. From its ancient history to its unique botany to its importance as a cultural ritual, we’ll spend the entire week highlighting everything that makes vermouth so special — and we can’t wait to share it with our readers.
Look for spotlights on bars with memorable vermouth serving styles, tips for choosing the perfect vermouth for your cocktail, a debunking of some of the most common myths and misconceptions surrounding vermouth, advice for building a vermouth menu at your own bar, and so much more. And, of course, we’ll share some of our favorite cocktail recipes for working with and enjoying vermouth, at the bar or in your home.
All of that will be happening right here. We have some fun things up our sleeve for social media followers, too: look for live vermouth tastings hosted by some of the most knowledgeable and passionate vermouth lovers in the industry, video interviews with bartenders working with both New World and Old World styles, and so much more. Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and share your vermouth-related photos, videos, recipes and more with us by using #VermouthWeek in your posts.
Check back on November 7 for all the goods. Salute, salud, and cheers!
