Tales of the Cocktail® on Tour Announces 2017 Destination: Scotland
successful tour stops in Vancouver, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City, the world’s
premier cocktail festival is proud to announce that Edinburgh, Scotland will be
the destination for the 7th Annual Tales of the Cocktail® on Tour.
The five-day festival will feature a series of professional seminars hosted by
world-renowned bartenders and cocktail experts, as well as nightly social
events allowing attendees to become immersed in Scottish culture.
“Having been to Tales of the Cocktail on a number of occasions and experienced first-hand the amazing wealth of industry expertise all in one special city for a week, I'm so excited that Tales on Tour will be coming to Edinburgh, my town!” said Stuart McCluskey, owner of The Bon Vivant and The Devil’s Advocate in Edinburgh. “The Tales organization gathers some of the very best of the hospitality industry together to unselfishly share their knowledge and wisdom with very keen listeners.”
For many international spirits professionals and enthusiasts, making it to New Orleans every year can be difficult so Tales of the Cocktail® on Tour was developed in 2011 to give a taste of what the industry’s premier cocktail event is all about. It was also developed to shed light on the emerging cocktail cultures of city’s that don’t otherwise get the attention they deserve. A large part of each year’s programming is celebrating the local culture of the destination through tours and other tasting events, allowing these cities and their talented cocktail communities to be recognized on the international stage.
“Edinburgh’s cocktail scene obviously starts with the history and tradition of Scotch whisky but it’s so much bigger than that,” said Ann Tuennerman, Founder of Tales of the Cocktail®. “It’s a city that’s on par with the best in the world. I’m so excited for everyone to get to know it even better next Spring."
Joining Tales of the Cocktail® once again in bringing the next summer’s tour stop to life will be William Grant & Sons, Pernod, and BACARDI. These brand partners have been involved in Tales on Tour® from the start providing the talent, resources and knowledge of the local cocktail markets that’s been critical in executing each tour stop.
