Fleurty Girl to Open Pop Up Shop During Tales of the Cocktail® 2017

Extending their seven-year partnership, Tales of the Cocktail and New Orleans retailer Fleurty Girl are excited to announce the first-ever Fleurty Girl pop up store at this year’s festivities in New Orleans. The on-site shop will be located at the Royal Sonesta, offering the entire collection of cocktail t-shirts as well as a curated selection of Southern-inspired goods.

“This is the natural extension of what has been a beautiful partnership between our shop and Tales of the Cocktail,” said Lauren LeBlanc Haydel, founder of Fleurty Girl. “Attendees have always poured into our French Quarter location throughout the week of Tales. We’re just making it a little easier for people to pop in and pick up something to remember their trip.”

The Tales of the Cocktail and Fleurty Girl partnership started in 2010 when they collaborated to create a t-shirt celebrating the Sazerac. Since then they have gone on to create an entire collection of shirts celebrating some of the world’s most iconic cocktails—Old Fashioned, Hurricane, Frozen Daiquiri, Vieux Carré, Ramos Gin Fizz, and Mint Julep. Five dollars from the sale of each t-shirt is donated to the New Orleans Culinary & Cultural Preservation Society, the non-profit organization that produces Tales of the Cocktail® and provides scholarships and financial aid to the international cocktail community.

“We are always looking for ways that we can bring New Orleans businesses into Tales of the Cocktail,” said Ann Tuennerman, Founder of Tales of the Cocktail®. “Lauren has been one of longest and closest local partners for years. We’re so excited that we can finally have her on location.”

Fleurty Girl was founded in 2010 as a small t-shirt shop out of LeBlanc Haydel’s house. The brand has since grown to four stores across the Greater New Orleans area, specializing in apparel, jewelry, art and home goods celebrating the unique culture of New Orleans and the South.
