Tales of the Cocktail to Launch the New

New content site aims to be leading digital hub for spirits industry.

NEW ORLEANS, LAJuly 15, 2015 – In its efforts to constantly provide new ways to support and grow the international cocktail community, Tales of the Cocktail® is proud to announce that the new will launch on August 17th – extending into the web as a meeting place for the spirits industry.

Similar the over 200 events around the globe that Tales of the Cocktail® hosts each year, the new site will allow the community to learn, share, and connect – linking the industry on a 24/7/365 basis with what’s now, new, and next. Content will include the latest cocktail news, insights and ideas, bartender profiles, recipes, product launches, tools, techniques, spirits history, and an inside look at unique cocktail cultures around the world. It will also cover related topics such as art, music, fashion, and film. In addition, the site will allow and encourage visitor participation, with opportunities to comment, connect, and debate.

“I am always so excited to find new ways that we can extend our mission of growing a stronger, smarter and more connected industry,” said Ann Tuennerman, Co-Founder of Tales of the Cocktail®. “We have put a year of work into developing a site that I know will be the go-to resource for cocktail professionals everywhere.”

In developing the new site, Tales of the Cocktail® has partnered with Mother Nature Network (MNN), a leading media company whose equity partners include CNN and Discovery Communications.

“It’s only natural that the company which hosts the world’s leading events for the spirits industry should also host the world’s leading website for the industry. Working on a project like this has been a tremendous opportunity,” said Joel Babbit, MNN’s CEO.

The new site will also provide brands, both large and small, a range of innovative sponsorship and advertising opportunities for reaching the top bartenders, bar owners, retailers, and industry influencers around the globe. Founding sponsors include Bacardi Rum, Grey Goose Vodka, and Dewar’s Scotch.

The new is the latest in a growing list of year-round initiatives from Tales of the Cocktail® to support and grow the international cocktail industry. In addition to the main event held in New Orleans, now in its 13th year, Tales of the Cocktail® also produces Tales of the Cocktail® on Tour, a satellite festival held in emerging cocktail cities around the world, and Tales 365®, a membership program with exclusive access to Tales of the Cocktail® content and events.
