Grasshopper

The famously creamy, minty Grasshopper was invented in 1918 at Tujaque’s, a standup bar that first opened in 1856 and for generations catered to market workers and longshoremen. It’s occupied several different locales — and recently moved to new quarters on Decatur — where it maintains the dignity of the ages. Pro tip: After your Grasshopper, order Tujague’s fine Sazerac to reorient your digestive system.
