Philip Duff’s Call for SEDTalks Speakers

Have you got something to say about spirits, bars or cocktails?

Do you want to speak at Tales Of The Cocktail this summer in New Orleans?

Can you bring it, TED-talks style, in max. 14 minutes?

(Either you’re a superb speaker, or it’s compelling new information, or you offer skillful new insights into existing knowledge. Ticking more than one of those boxes: amazing!)

Then #SEDTalks at Tales can offer you that stage – and I’m recruiting!

#SEDTalks target the most inquisitive, open-minded and influential attendees of Tales of the Cocktail, the largest event of it’s kind on the planet, and the number-one event worldwide for bar owners, bar managers and bartenders.

“The best seminar I attended at Tales of the Cocktail” – Alex Kratena, 2014.

– Alex is our first confirmed #SEDTalks speaker for 2015, by the way.

14 minutes – max.
No cocktails or tastings. Just you and a microphone.
Preferably no Powerpoint, but if you have one, use it as tool, not a crutch.

Talk about your bar, or your brand, or your job, if you like – just make it engaging, and excellent. That’s the golden rule.

No sponsor needed, but if you have one (or work for one), that’s cool.

Ideas are the most important, followed closely by the ability to explain them.

Interested?

WeTransfer.com me a 1 minute clip (philip@liquidsolutions.org) of you giving the talk you want to give at #SEDTalks (smartphone quality is fine as long as the picture isn’t shaky and the audio is clear) before May 1st. All submissions will be treated confidentially.

Officially I can’t have favourites, but I LOVE curating #SEDTalks; the quality of information I learn, and the entertainment, insight and education I get from listening to the likes of Angus Winchester, Ryan Chetiyawardana and Nicholas Morgan kicking it in 14 minutes or less, is mindboggling.

Can’t wait until July!

14 minutes – max.
No cocktails or tastings. Just you and a microphone.
Preferably no Powerpoint, but if you have one, use it as tool, not a crutch.
