While best known for his six books and countless articles on beer, Stephen is also recognized and respected as a writer and authority on spirits from artisanal absinthe to small batch bourbons. He has even written extensively about the pairing of spirits with food, dating back to long before such ideas were at all fashionable.

A regular contributor to ten magazines and three blogs, Stephen also consults with hospitality groups on beer and drinks menus, teaches servers and consumers alike everything they need to know about beer and spirits – but may have been afraid to ask! – and hosts tastings, tutorials and dinners across North America and around the world.
