Paul Clarke is a contributing editor to Imbibe magazine, the spirits and cocktails columnist for SeriousEats.com and a frequent contributor to the San Francisco Chronicle. His writing on spirits and cocktails has appeared in the New York Times, Wine & Spirits magazine, Seattle magazine, and other local and national publications.
Since 2005, Clarke has documented his exploration of fine spirits and mixology on The Cocktail Chronicles, one of the first exclusively spirits-and-cocktail-related blogs on the Internet. Clarke is also the founder and moderator of Mixology Monday, a monthly online cocktail party that has attracted scores of participants from around the globe since its 2006 debut.
While he’s still not sure it’s a good thing that his drinking habits have attracted media attention, Clarke has been profiled on Salon.com and in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and his blog has been declared an “Online Find” by the Boston Globe, designated a “Favorite Blog of 2009” by PC Magazine and selected as a spotlighted “Pick” by Yahoo! Clarke has been quoted in articles on spirits and cocktails in publications including the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Seattle Times, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Tiki Magazine, and has discussed spirits and mixology on National Public Radio and on the Seattle NBC affiliate’s Evening Magazine.
