You’ll taste a variety of gin, tequila, whisk(e)y, vodka and rum cocktails made by more than 40 of the world’s best mixologists as you enjoy traditional New Orleans food and music from each decade.

On Monday, July 19th and Tuesday, July 20th, Dita Von Teese will take New Orleans by storm with her thrilling “Be Cointreauversial” performance. Guests will enjoy Cointreau cocktails and wait in anticipation while being treated to a bevy of special guests.

Invented in New Orleans in the early 1930’s, Herbsaint has been THE absinthe substitute since absinthe was banned in the United States in 1912. Until 2007, Herbsaint was the closest thing on the U.S. market to real absinthe in taste, color and in louche (the milky white substance produced once the anise reacts with water).

This summer the international community will converge on the city where spirits live 24/7. Shaken from their slumber within the bottle, the spirits will take on a life of their own in New Orleans at Tales of the Cocktail 2010.
